3. Paige Bueckers, Dallas Wings
Previous ranking: 3 ↔️

This week: 27.0 points, 3.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 0.5 steals (2 games)
Bueckers move to point guard is unlocking a new dimension for the Wings. A move that allows her to control the pace, have more decision making and get more shots up as she is one of the most efficient players in the league. During the stretch of games this week, Bueckers averaged 27.0 points, 3.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds, 0.5 steals. Bueckers shot 63.8 percent from the floor and 50.0 percent from three-point range.

Bueckers passed 900 career points in the game tonight against Mercury, tying Elena Delle Donne for sixth fastest in WNBA history to achieve the feat (48 games).
The second-year guard is establishing herself as one of the league’s premier players as Dallas continues to remain one of the league’s biggest surprises. Bueckers is seventh in the league for points per game, ninth in assists per game.
Bueckers tweaked her ankle in the game against Mercury and sat for precaution against the Fever, which the Wings failed to get a victory.

4. Kelsey Plum, Los Angeles Sparks
Previous ranking: 4 ↔️
2026 stats: 26.6 points, 6.9 assists, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 steals
This week: 31.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 1.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals (2 games)

Plum averaged 31.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 1.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals this week. The Sparks are on a three-game winning streak and finished the week 2-0.
What makes Plum’s season impressive outside of the points and assists, is the effiency. Plum is shooting 55.5 percent from the floor and 41.4 beyond the arc. She carries the responsibility of being the top scorer and facilitator like the other guards on this list but her production remains among the league’s best.
Why does Plum remain fourth?
Plum remains fourth in the rankings this week as the team is barely above .500 this season. If the Sparks continue their recent success, she will be higher among the candidates, as team success has a lot to do with the MVP award. The Sparks have a difficult week ahead of them facing three of the top six teams in the standings. If the Los Angeles can find a way to get wins, Plum will move up the list.
